Halloween hours unacceptable

To the Editor:

Why is trick-or-treating only allowed for one evening?

Not everybody works 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Friday.

Some people work nights and 12-hour shifts.

Trick-or-treating is for the kids and if parents have to work on that one night, it is not fair to the children.

The people that decided this law must have forgot what it is to be a kid, or do not have any children of their own.

I hope next year this gets changed and is two nights instead of one.

If people do not want to be bothered both nights, they simply can turn off their porch lights.

I have two children and love taking them trick-or-treating, but also like handing out to other children.

I am sure I am not alone on this.
