Teachers thank staff, students

To the Editor:

We would like to thank the staff and students at North Clay Middle School for their recent generous contributions to a food drive.

In conjunction with International Pay It Forward Day, which was April 28, North Clay hosted a week-long food drive.

We collected 13 big boxes worth of canned goods and non-perishable items.

Everyone who donated received a "pay-it-forward" bracelet.

The idea behind the bracelet was to remind everyone to do something nice for someone else, while expecting nothing in return.

It was so rewarding to see everyone donate so many items. All the items collected were given to the Brazil Food Pantry, which was grateful for the contributions.

We loved seeing so many people step up and give to others, despite poor economic conditions.
