General Manager responds to letter

To the Editor:

I am sorry that you are disappointed with our Pet Idol Contest.

The idea of the contest is to raise money for our NIE (Newspapers in Education) program so that the youngsters and teachers in our community can have access to the newspaper on a daily basis.

Many contests are run in the same manner where the biggest contributor wins. For an example, The Crisis Pregnancy Center Baby Contest.

When this contest was operated by The Brazil Times last year, it was the same format with the exception that every person that logs on to the website to vote for a pet gets 500 free votes.

So tell your friends to get on a vote. Thanks for your comments.
