Clay County Emergency Food Pantry hands out thanks for donations

Monday, January 16, 2012

To the Editor:

We volunteers at the Clay County Emergency Food Pantry would like to thank all the churches, doctors, hospitals, clubs, sororities, schools, individuals and everyone for their donations for our Christmas House and food, which they so generously contributed to the pantry to make a much appreciated Thanksgiving and Christmas for the children, disabled, unemployed and low-income people of Clay County.

You will never know what it meant to these people to realize how much Clay County citizens do care about them.

We had more than 100 donations at a time when we desperately needed them and all the volunteers want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all you have done in 2011 for the Clay County Emergency Food Pantry.

Without your help, this would not have been possible: Ruth Haas and all volunteers, Norma Diel, Janet Wallace, Ruth and Bill Sciotto, Carol and Ron Hedge, Mariam Cooksey, Louise Ends, Billie Johnson, Phil Johnson, Arlene and John Tribble, Patsy Light, Donna Black, Ethel Frost, Ethel Stevenson, Bob and Nancy Fredericks, George and Beverly Hewitt, Rebecca Loveless, Marsha West, Lisa Klelber, Shirley Vanes, Mary Jane Willoughby, Clara Deakins, Delores Johnson, Richard and Judy Pippin, Don Harrison, Carver Rose, Carol Mountjoy, Sandra Newport and Lisa Bloesing.

Most of all, these people work hard behind the scenes and they are much needed for our daily distribution of food and clothing at the pantry.

A very special thanks to Jason Moon, Brazil Times.

Please continue to keep us in your prayers.

Ruth Haas and all the volunteers at the Clay County Emergency Food Pantry
