All invited to county 'Nature Day'

Sunday, August 19, 2012

To the Editor:

I would like to invite everyone in the community to the fourth Clay County Nature Day, which will take place Saturday, Sept. 8, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., at the Clay County 4-H Fairgrounds.

With more than 20 agencies participating, there will be activities for all ages and best of all, activities are free.

You can learn about bats, the build a bird house, see a working beehive, sample campfire cooking, see monarchs hatching, stomp in the creek and much more. At 11 a.m., live raptors will be on the stage, followed by the Magic Gardener at noon.

You want to participate in the photography contest. The theme is, "Out My Backdoor."

You may call the Extension Office at 448-9041 for more information. We hope to see everyone come out for a fun day in the great outdoors, so save the date, Saturday, Sept. 8.

See you at Nature Day.
