City leader has done something

To the Editor:

In reference to John Weddle's letter ("Not much has changed, has it," which appeared in the Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2012, issue of The Brazil Times), I have to disagree with you about the mayor.

Yes, he has done something. He has laid off several elderly employees and fired people also.

Short-term disability has been taken from employees.

He is not doing positive, but indeed doing negative.

The mayor and clerk received a $3,000 raise.

The clerk does not do her own work and is not in her office most of the time.

Mr. Weddle wrote valid concerns and facts.
