St. Vincent Clay Hospital recently received a donation of blankets and quilts from the Clay County Christian Quilters. The quilters meet on Wednesdays at the Harmony United Methodist Church. The purpose of the group is to quilt, fellowship and donate quilts to organizations in the community. The donation to SVCH will be used to comfort children who are patients at the hospital. On hand to receive the quilts included (front, from left) Opal Schopmeyer, Barbara Stanfield, Virginia Elliott, (back) Mary Lou Thompson, Maxine Beaman, Berniece Walton, Andrea Baysinger, Jennifer French, Mayme Johnson, Paula Fulk, Linda Lumsdon and Marsha Nicoson.
