To the Editor:

It's inconceivable that I could ever express the depth of gratitude I feel toward all the people that have come to my side during the days following my husband Pat's accidental death. But hopefully, I will be able to convey the feelings of Pat's family. We want to thank the emergency responders, especially those that administered CPR on Pat, the Brazil Police Department, the Clay County Sheriff's Department, The Indiana State Police, Reverend Tony Alstott (the Chaplain on duty at St. Vincent Clay Hospital), the hospital staff, Rob and Vanita Moore of Moore Funeral Home, all the people that made donations to our church and the Humane Shelter, those that wrote online condolences, the Coffee Cup employees for their memorial to Pat, Vigo County Schools administrators and employees, my Sugar Grove Elementary family, my Alpha Delta Kappa sisters, neighbors, those who endured the long lines during visitation, people from near and far who embraced us with love and compassion to give us the strength to rise above this ordeal. God touched us during this most difficult time through all of your kind words, gestures and prayers. It is with His endless love and mercy that we will be able to move forward and you have been His messengers. My family will be forever grateful for the outpouring we've experienced since May 30.

Janella Knierim and family,

Brazil
