Bridge open again!
The bridge over Little Birch Creek, located on County Road 600 North, one-quarter mile west of CR 300 W, was dedicated for its reopening Monday. The bridge, which consists of two flat cars and was completed Oct. 13, is the second of the three bridges damaged by the June floods to be reopened. Work on the bridge was done by Brown's Land Improvement, Staunton, at a cost of $54,900. On hand for the dedication were (from left) Clay County Commissioner Paul Sinders, Clay County Highway Superintendent Pete Foster, and Commissioners Charlie Brown and Jack Withers.
