Shelter responds to previous letter

To the Editor:

The Clay County Humane Society has received many calls regarding the letter ("Who determines who follows what?" which appeared in the March 16, 2009, issue of The Brazil Times).

We need to make it clear to the public and to our generous supporters that we were not involved in this incident.

We sympathize and appreciate the concerns of (the writer of the letter). We realize what people go through when they lose a family pet and extend our condolences to the family.
