Family grateful for support

To the Editor:

On May 7, 2009, we had to face the fact that our little Pierson Neil DeHart had gone to be with the Lord after only being with our family for 21 months. He fought a very courageous battle after being diagnosed at birth with having very little brain tissue due to a stroke in-utero.

We cannot thank this community enough for all the love and support they have showed over these past two years.

We want you to be encouraged that the prayers of healing for Pierson that many of you have prayed have been answered. He is happy, healthy and whole in the presence of God.

We would just like to say thank you to everyone who supported us through prayer, meals, monetary donations, including those who came to the auction and chili supper in December 2007, and any other acts of kindness you have shown our family.

We especially want to say thank you to Rob and Vanetta Moore and Moore's Funeral Home. Your kindness and compassion during a difficult time has meant so much to our family. We will be eternally grateful for the way you took care of Pierson and helped us say our last goodbyes on this Earth until we see him again one day.
