Is there a noise ordinance?

Sunday, July 19, 2009

To the Editor:

Would someone please tell me if there is some kind of noise ordinance in this town? Because if there's not any, there should be.

Every evening, between the hours of 7 p.m.-midnight or later, you can hear loud music from someone's radio turned up full blast, so loud if vibrates the windows in my apartment, and I live on the third floor in this building.

I have nothing against someone playing their music, but why do they have to play it so loud so the whole neighborhood can hear it?

It's usually people driving down the street in front of this building that have their radios up full blast with the sound of drums in the background.

These people surely are not hard of hearing that they have to turn it up full blast.

If they don't have any problems hearing now, they might later on.

They have the right to play their radios.

They just need to tone it down a little.

Until next time, take care and be fair.
