To the Editor:

Times are hard everywhere.

From the big companies to the small town business owners.

But it's nice to know that honesty hasn't gone by the way side for Chris Huff at Shuee and Sons.

In the middle of one of our biggest yearly expense (two kids going back to school) our stove decides to go out.

I had shopped around online at some of the bigger appliance stores and was not ready to spend a fortune for a new stove.

On my way home from work, I stopped to see what Shuees had in the line I wanted.

When I walked in, I wasn't attacked by a salesperson.

I was able to look around before anyone asked me if I had found what I was looking for. I explained to the gentleman what I needed and that I didn't have a lot of money to spend and he proceeded to show me the ones that were marked down because of some small cosmetic things.

As he was showing them to me, I explained what had happened and why I was looking and he smiled at me. He then told me that I didn't need a new stove, as much as he would love to sell me one, I really didn't need to buy a whole new stove. I just needed the element that he could order one and have it the next day.

Sure enough, I got a call the next afternoon that my part was in and they would be there until 6 p.m.

Not everyone would have been so honest and not taken advantage of the opportunity to make a few bucks. I just want to say thank you and to let people know that honesty and integrity can still be found at Shuee and Sons.

Thanks Chris.
