In praise of county assessor

To the Editor:

Dear Assessor (Mark) Barnhart:

We would like to thank you and your staff for the professional manner in the operation of your office and you (and your staff) taking the time to explain a very complex and confusing subject of property taxes.

We feel that your office is very much underpaid. However, like all government employees, you work for the public good, not for the money.

Thank you very much and we would hope that all government agencies performed as well.
