Reader pleading for Senators to pass bill

Monday, September 6, 2010

To the Editor:

The deep water horizon oil disaster has devastated many, such as thousands of birds, hundreds of endangered sea turtles and marine mammals.

It has stretched more than hundred of miles of coastline. Years of this could end everything.

Senators Evan Bayh and Richard Lugar and your colleagues in the U.S. Senate should take immediate action to pass the Clean Energy Jobs and Oil Accountability Act (S. 3663), when you return to Washington, D.C., this month.

This important legislation will address much needed drilling reform.

S. 3663 would improve offshore drilling management and crisis response, guarantee funding for the land and much, much more.

Please help before it's too late.

Sincerely,

Taylor Castle,

Terre Haute
