Letter to the Editor

Festival Committee offers thanks

Sunday, November 14, 2010

To the Editor:

Saturday, Sept. 11, started off as a dreary, rainy day.

The Center Point Community Fall Festival Committee wasn't sure how the evening's events would pan out.

The skies did clear and, on behalf of the festival committee, I would like to thank everyone for joining us this year.

We had a successful evening in spite of the iffy-weather, continuing economic issues and the loss of an important member of our group -- Bradley Stearley -- who passed away unexpectedly.

A big "tip of the hat" to everyone that pitched in to make the evening possible, especially all those who prepared the food and PJ Nicoson, who gathered the raffle prizes.

We thank the librarians and artisans who displayed their crafts once again this year.

Thanks to one and all -- please join us again next year.

Other 2010 Center Point Community Fall Festival contributions came from:
