Leave citizen gun owners alone

Thursday, December 23, 2010

To the Editor:

Why are we being blamed for the trouble in Mexico?

I've included Internet links so anyone who wants to can check for himself or herself.

Number of troops each of the world's countries has: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_number_of_troops.

Notice China has roughly 3.6 million troops. Russia has 21 million. Also notice North Korea has nearly 9 million. The U.S. has only 2.5 million.

However, if you look here: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_many_gun_owners_are_there_in_the_United_States_of_..., you will see that 52 million American households (roughly 45 percent) own 260 million firearms.

Assuming each of those households has at least two members, and then you see that armed American citizens outnumber most of the world's militaries, even if they were combined against us.

In other words, "American Citizens" are the largest armed group on the face of the planet.

In my opinion, this is the reason for the constant worldwide propaganda war against American gun owners.

And, it's why the UN and politicians in their camp are constantly attacking American gun owners.

It's why they are blaming us for problems in Mexico, where citizens have no right to own firearms to protect themselves.

And it's the reason for the constant push to take away, restrict, and reduce the American right to own efficient firearms for self-defense.

In other words, before a "one world government" can gain power, America's firearms owners must be disarmed.

Just the fact that the UN is constantly trying to get us to sign a treaty relinquishing our second amendment rights is proof of their bad intentions.

I see no other possible reason for it.

And, of course, Obama seems ready to sign such a treaty at the first opportunity.

Remember, when you drive by a shooting range and hear shots being fired, that's the "Sound of Freedom."

Smile and enjoy it.

Pray for America.

If we lose our freedom, the rest of the world will follow us into the abyss.
