Monday evening accident

Monday, April 4, 2011

Officials prepare to remove a vehicle from the scene of an accident near the intersection of County Road 900 North and CR 100 East late Monday afternoon. According to the Clay County Sheriff's Department, the driver of the passenger vehicle was traveling westbound when the tires got too far off onto the shoulder area of the road and lost control. The vehicle then hit a tree and flipped over on its top before stopping in the middle of the road. Speed, according to officials, is not considered a factor in the accident. The unidentified female driver was transported to St. Vincent Clay Hospital for a medical check up and potential treatment for unknown injuries.
