Letter to the Editor

Some can be so thoughtful

To the Editor:

A Hoosier trait, which is alive and well, flourishing in many of the small towns and rural communities of Indiana, is the spirit of volunteering.

So often, a few citizens see a need and rather than looking for a governmental agency or community group to remedy the problem, they simply act.

On a recent Saturday, Stu Moore, John Moore, Steve Bedwell and P.J. Nicoson appeared at the Center Point cemeteries and with a morning of labor, cleared the area of brush and encroaching woods.

The end result is a much-improved landscape, where many friends, families and forbearers are at rest.

The cemetery trustees much appreciate the effort of these community-minded men. Thank you.

Ronald K. Moon,

President of the Board
