New Year's Eve event slated

To the Editor:

Prairie City United Methodist Church would like to let our community know we are hosting a New Year's Eve event Dec. 31, 2011, at 7 p.m., until 12:15 a.m., at our church.

This event is for adults 18 years and older. This is an event for adults who want to celebrate New Year's Eve without the stress of alcohol or drugs.

The celebration will include a personal testimony by John Lombardo, food, games, music, a Christian movie, a devotional and the countdown until 2012.

We are located three-fourths of a mile east on State Road 59 on State Road 42 just south of Interstate-70.

This is a Christian event, but you do not have to be a Christian to attend.

We hope to see you on New Year's Eve.
