To the Editor:

We want to thank all the businesses and individuals in Clay and some in Vigo counties, for their generous donations of the many prizes for the 2012 Clay County Day Luncheon, held in January in Bradenton, Fla.

Our gratitude goes to those merchants and groups countywide: Shear Image, Hoosier Homes and Land, Toys Auto Parts, Olde Fashion Jewelry Store, John and John Plumbing, Walgreens, First Financial Bank, Vision Quest, Emmert Realty, York Chevrolet, Warren Tire, One Stop Auto Repair, Advanced Auto, Sam's Hardware, Barb's Upholstery, Sherwin Williams, The Olde Homestead Shoppe, Speedway, Edward Jones Investments, Lynch's Farm Market, G Long's Auto Exchange, M J Homes, Sugar N Spice, The Outpost, The Brazil Times, Terre Haute Savings Bank, Orville Redenbarger Popcorn Association, Pell's Shopping Center, Fun Time Scuba, A1 Printing, Napa Auto Parts, Sister's Antique Mall, Dr. Mark Haring Family Dentistry, L&S Glass, GE Aviation, Wolfe's Auto Auction, Riddell National Bank, AllState Insurance, Farm Bureau Insurance, Frontier Communications, The Beverage Place, Clay City Pottery, Ceres Solutions, Howesville Farm Service, Bob Burkle Chevrolet, Cars Warranty, House of Spirits, Allied Insurance, Clear Lake Vet. Hospital, Country Side Auto and Park Place Auto.

This was the 33rd Clay County Day event, and with the acts of kindness and generosity of the merchants, the reunion of the local snowbirds and those who "transplanted their roots," to the sunny south, had a very special day reflecting on the present and past memories of the county they hold dear. Once again, a big thank you for making this annual event so special. We appreciate you all.
