Letter to the Editor

Junior Achievement program gives thanks

Sunday, June 10, 2012

To the Editor:

In 1965, Junior Achievement began providing economic education to students in the Wabash Valley.

This year, our programs will reach nearly 3,000 elementary, middle and high school students in an eight-county area.

The success of Junior Achievement in the 2011-12 school year is the result of the efforts of more than 200 classroom consultants and teachers who implemented our programs, more than 150 special events participants and volunteers, our Board of Directors and JA staff.

By their efforts, we were able to increase the number of students reached by 30 percent.

Our success could not have been accomplished without the generous support of the business community, organizations and individuals. To all volunteers who stepped into the classroom, teachers who requested the programs and supporters who made it possible: Thank you.

Jerry Hochstetler, Interim President,

Junior Achievement,
