Disappointed with decision

To the Editor:

I am writing because of last night's fireworks display.

I feel that it was very disrespectful for the City of Brazil to do it on a Sunday night.

Yes, I know that they wanted to have a show due to July 4th's being canceled, but could they not pick a Friday or a Saturday to do it?

I just fell into a deep sleep when I heard this loud bang and the room shook. I woke up because it sounded like gun shots were going off. So, after 20 minutes of lying in bed until the noise died down, it finally ended with the finale fireworks.

So, I go back to bed and finally get back into a deep sleep, when bang, another round of fireworks starts going on.

I mean, come on Brazil.

There are people in this town who work for a living and have to wake up at 5 or 6 in the morning to get ready to go to work.

Can't you be more conscientious about how you go about doing things?

I think the ones who hosted this affair should be either fined or jailed for their support of this arrangement.
