Foundation grateful for response

Sunday, November 4, 2012

To the Editor:

The Clay County Community Foundation recently held its annual Harvest Hoedown at the Clay County Fairgrounds.

We want to thank Rick Bell of Pappy's Barbecue of Brazil for providing the Texas-style meal, and Randy Dyer of Clay City for furnishing the Chuck Wagon for the Hoedown.

We are very appreciative of the businesses, organizations and individuals who donated items to help make the Silent Auction a success.

Our thanks go to Toni's Tumbling and Dance performance for their entertainment, and to the YMCA of Clay County for providing the children's games.

A special thank you goes to each of our Foundation Board members who sold advance sale tickets and did much work in preparation for the Hoedown.

We appreciated The Brazil Times and Clay City News covering the Harvest Hoedown for us.

Many thanks go to Mike Lawson of Riddell National Bank for hosting the meetings of the Clay County Community Foundation Board of Directors for several years.

And, thanks to everyone who attended the Hoedown and made a bid on the Silent Auction items to make the Harvest Hoedown a success again this year.

Thank you.

Paul Sinders,

Clay County Community Foundation President
