Letter to the Editor

Not much has changed, has it?

To the Editor:

Thanks to Jason Moon for the information on United States 40.

A few weeks ago, I read a letter from Rev. Eric Jude of Brazil about potholes and high water bills and the new mayor not doing anything about it, and he was certainly right.

Well, I agree with the reverend, but I am afraid the citizens are going to have a long wait for any changes from this mayor.

Because if this mayor was going to make any changes, I think he would have made them by now, and so far, he hasn't done much of anything. I have written letters in the past, talking about changes he's not made.

For instance, he's still got the same old staff running the Board of Public Works and Safety, the same old staff running the Park Board, the same park treasurer and the same City Planning Administrator.

So, if the mayor makes any changes, then he should get on the ball and start doing it. He's only got three more years, unless he decided to run again, he's going to have to be more convincing than what he is now.

If we ever get a real good mayor, then you might see some changes. But there's always the word, "if."

But if the next mayor doesn't do any better than this mayor, then you're still going to have the same old faces running these offices and things will never change.

Until next time, take care and be fair.

John Weddle,

Brazil
