Blessed by an amazing group of volunteers
We are so blessed by an amazing and unbelievable group of volunteers working behind the scenes who make food packing and delivery possible every week during the school year and daily in the summer. You know many of them. They donate their resources and time. Many also donate their car or truck or truck and trailer and gas in addition to their time. We are blessed. You know many of these people and may see them on a regular basis. You may not know who is doing what behind the scenes, but feeding the kids would not be possible without them.
There is also a group of people who help us often. You may never see them. You may not know their face. You many not know their name. They, however, are an answer to pray as is every person who helps us feed the kids. They are the volunteers from the House of Hope. When we have a job that is too big for our regular pick up volunteers and requires a bit of man power, we call on Mark A Thompson. He reaches out the residents of House of Hope. The residents willingly answer the call. They help us load, move, unload and stack food. Sometimes they do it a multiple locations. They have done it for us on the hottest of summer days, in the rain and in the cold. They help us feed the kids with a willing heart, a smile and a "thank you" for allowing them to help us help the kids. They are a part of our community who makes it possible for us to do "the impossible." They, like many of you, think what they do may not be "very much." Yet we could not do it without them. Please say a prayer for each of these volunteers.
