Following the Glorified Christ
The Jesus that walked the earth died, was resurrected and Glorified. Many Christians maybe most, fail to realize the difference in what Jesus told His followers on earth and what the Glorified Jesus desires and instructed. The blood of the cross was the turning point.
Jesus while on earth worked earnestly to get the Jewish people to recognize Him as the Messiah that they were searching for. But they lived in denial, their ears were closed because they had figured out how it was going to happen. Their ultimate act of rejection was to say “No” to Jesus and “Crucify Him!”.
Jesus died, was three days in the earth, resurrected and then Glorified. (John 20:17) And later in Acts 9:15 God said about Paul, This man is my chosen instrument to carry my name before the Gentiles and their kings and before the people of Israel.
Paul, thinking he was working for God, was on his way to Damascus to find believers in Jesus, and have them killed. But he was changed in an instant when the Glorified Christ struck him down and opened his eyes.
Paul did not go to Jerusalem to hear what the former disciples understood but instead he went to Arabia (probably Mount Sinai) to learn from the resurrected and glorified Jesus. He spent three years learning what Jesus now wanted. And now the message is slightly different because we are on the beautiful side of His Blood.
After spending three years in Arabia with the Glorified Jesus. He worked desperately for the Jewish people and grieved when they would not accept the words from Christ. Paul along with others like Barnabas, Luke, and Silas traveled around starting Gentile churches. Finally he was imprisoned in Rome for being a Christian. From his prison cell he wrote letters to the congregations he had founded and we have some of those letters. They, the letters, are still traveling around the world explaining what the Glorified Christ expects from us.
