I-70 Traffic Stop Leads to the Discovery of Cocaine and a Handgun
Clay County - Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at approximately 11:30 a.m., Trooper Brad Fyfe was patrolling Interstate 70 near the twenty-three mile-marker when he stopped the driver of a passenger vehicle for traveling westbound at 84 mph. The driver of the passenger vehicle was identified as Rafael A. Garcia, age 42, of Indianapolis, Indiana. While speaking to Garcia, criminal indicators were observed. Probable cause resulted in a search of the vehicle which located approximately three grams of cocaine and a handgun with multiple magazines. Garcia was taken into custody and transported to the Clay County Jail where he is currently being held without bond.
Arrested and Charges: Rafael A. Garcia, Indianapolis, IN
- Possession of Cocaine Less than 5 Grams, Level 6 Felony
- Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Ever Receiving a License, Class A Misdemeanor
