Spring cleaning is about to begin
Spring cleaning is about to begin
It’s that time again! Spring house cleaning is waiting in the wings.
The sleeves have been rolled up, the knee pads and ladder are ready and excitement mounts.
I know there is nothing new about it. I’ve been doing spring and fall house cleaning since I was a kid. Fact is, I clean every day. The seasonal deep cleanings require extra work and additional elbow grease. The muscle shrunk but the arm still works.
I am thankful to still able to start do my tasks: inside, outside and all around this happy home.
The birds around chirped that I needed to clean the windows. They donated some of the dirty spots and no doubt will add more before conditions are favorable for the task.
The wind teamed-up with the trash truck and planted paper goods and plastic water bottles behind my evergreens. The job could not wait and will be repeated on another windy day.
Today I focused on the inside. I am swamped with jobs here and constantly work at cleaning and polishing my treasures, as my grandmother, Etta Lynch once did for what mattered to her. She cared for the treasures (heirlooms and otherwise) that made her house a home, beautifully. That works for me.
It is Spring again! There is a time for work and a time to stop and smell the roses. Paul’s trip to D.C. is in May. We have special dinners to attend , a Jazz concert , Paul’s birthday to celebrate and more things are planned.
Paul has not been feeling well. I think spring weather, walks in the warm sunshine and the beauty of renewal to watch unfold will be a shot in the arm for my husband.
Now I must close and check on the kids. I can be reached by phone at 317-286-7352.
