With frequent rain showers and dreary skies overhead, volunteers and firefighters at the Center Point Volunteer Fire Department served fish dinners and smiles to a long line of hungry supporters Saturday night during the annual benefit. Although COVID-19 and the construction of the new firehouse created some unusual problems to tackle, organizers said the two-lane drive-thru was a success. It is estimated that more than 400 cars waited for up to an hour to pick up dinner.
