Brazil Elks Lodge 762, located at 19 South Sherfey St., gathered Saturday for the inaugural "Jeep and Buggy Ride for Cancer Research." More than 85 people hopped in Jeeps and side-by-side "buggies" for the parade west led by Brazil City Police Chief Clint McQueen along Jackson Street to north Depot and traveled through Parke County to fundraise for the Indiana Elks Association's state project: Cancer Research, which has raised more than $10 million to combat cancer over 70 years.
