Lillie Irene Cox, 83, passed away in her home on Feb. 21, 2006. She was born in Concordia, Kansas, on Dec. 21, 1922, to Johnathan and Emily Mosher. She married Alfred Cox on February 7, 1944, and moved to Brazil in 1948. They had just celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary. On Wednesday morning, prices ranged from a few cents more than $2 per gallon on up to $2.39 or more. One convenience store employee told The Brazil Times several customers threatened to complain to Indiana Attorney Gen. Steve Carter's office after prices rose 30 cents per gallon, literally overnight. Then, the employee excused herself to go outside and raise pump prices at that store...
