William S. Latham, 82, Staunton, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2008, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was born Oct. 30, 1925, as the son of Oscar and Grace Siner Latham. During World War II he served in the U.S. Navy until his Honorable Discharge April 18, 1946, as a Seaman First Class. He then served in the U.S. Naval Reserve from 1947-1955. He was married to Josephine Stoneking who survives him. He attended the First Christian Church of Staunton...

Alfred Von Elkins, 71, Terre Haute, died at 9:13 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008, at Union Hospital, Terre Haute. He was born Sept. 30, 1936, in Terre Haute, as the son of Virgil and Harriett Bryant Bridgewater. He had been employed as a truck driver and had also worked as a brakeman on the railroad. He married Mary Ellen Dubbs Dec. 31, 1955. Before his illness, he enjoyed singing and gardening. He was a member of New Life Fellowship Church, Eagles Lodge and the local Teamsters Union...
