There are three Easter Egg Hunts in the near vicinity, probably more, on Saturday, April 11. Forest Park in Brazil and Fairbanks Park in Terre Haute have them scheduled for 10 a.m. At Fairbanks, the kids collect the eggs and then turn them in for candy and prizes. Local communication will be better in emergency situations thanks to new 800 MHz radios fire departments could soon receive as part of the $248,699 in grant money made possible to Clay County through the Assistance to Firefighters Grants.
