Academy seeks to improve curriculum for police

While pro- and anti-police rallies are carried out in Indiana and elsewhere, the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in Plainfield is getting ready to re-evaluate its training curriculum. "We are presently conducting a job-task analysis," said Capt. David Younce, in-service training for veteran officers. "We are sending surveys to departments throughout the state, large and small, to road officers, first-level supervisors and upper-level managers. We are asking them, 'Is this still relevant?'"...
