Smith (D-Gary) providing civil immunity against damages while rescuing a child was approved today by the Indiana House of Representatives. House Bill 1161 prohibits civil damage liability resulting from forcible entry of a motor vehicle while rescuing a child. Brazil man accused of police battery, drug possession

A Brazil man faces multiple charges after an incident last week where he's accused of head-butting, kneeing and kicking a Brazil Police Department officer.
