INDIANAPOLIS -- Legislation sponsored by State Sen. Rodric Bray (R-Martinsville) that would help identify and treat Indiana students with dyslexia passed the Senate Committee on Education and Career Development this week by a vote of 8-0. House Bill 1108 seeks to remedy the difficulty of identifying dyslexia in schools by requiring elementary educators to be knowledgeable in distinguishing symptoms of the debility in order to intervene before the child falls severely behind. ...
