Third person arrested in connection with aggravated battery case

Police have made a third arrest in connection to the severe beating of a man on Oct. 11 in downtown Brazil. Eric B. Halfhill, 26, of rural Brazil, appeared in court Tuesday on felony charges of aggravated battery and battery resulting in serious bodily injury. He pleaded not guilty in Clay Circuit Court and plans to hire private counsel, according to court records. He posted $25,000 bond and was released...
