Proposed water rate increase likely extending to towns on city supply

Brazil's plan to raise water rates for city residents was stalled Wednesday night when Daniel A. Hedden, a partner in Umbaugh & Associates, told the City Council that the amount of water sold to Harmony, Knightsville, Carbon and Center Point has increased from 9 percent to 27 percent of the water pumped by the Brazil water utility.
