Letter to the Editor: Historic bridge coming to Clay County park, trail

To the editor: Progress is being made toward locating a pedestrian bridge at Craig Park. The bridge will connect the south railroad grade trail to the north park trail just west of the lake waterway dam. This will be the beginning of Phase II of the walking trail that was constructed by CCPA with local contributions and an IDNR construction grant. Fundraiser set for Be Nice Be Kind Campaign

The first fundraiser for the Clay County "Be Nice, Be Kind Campaign" will take place Tuesday at 7p.m. at the home of Ashlee Vitz, Be Nice, Be Kind board member and local public educator. Vitz is a Premier Designs Independent Consultant and will hold a jewelry show in her home at which 20 percent of the orders for all those present will be given to the campaign. Those unable to attend can still order and will have 10 percent of their order given to the campaign...

Rose-Hulman sponsors event to fight breast cancer

Rose-Hulman and Pepsi are co-sponsoring "Engineers Fightin' Breast Cancer 2016" on April 16 at Rose-Hulman Sports & Rec Center to benefit PINK of Terre Haute.
