Monday the Lakers found themselves locked in another one. Both teams threw their ace hurlers - Hunter Wolfe for Clay City and Shakamak's Braden Scott. Both are future Division I pitchers. Scott signed to pitch for the Marshall Thundering Herd and Wolfe will suit up for the Old Gold and Black at Purdue University...

County Council learns cost to repaint jail cells will be much lower than first estimated

The Clay County Council this week learned repainting cells in the Clay County Justice Center will be much cheaper than first believed. Instead of costing $56,520, which was the first bid received, the council appropriated $15,000 after receiving a bid from Jack Miller Painting.
