Over the weekend, I decided to visit my son at work. Joel is 17 and just started a few weeks ago working at Kroger in my town. He was hired as a “utility clerk,” cleaning restrooms and gathering the shopping carts. He then received a rather quick “promotion” to bag groceries! I remember doing that job when I was in college, and it was a fun job. You always had to be careful that softer items didn’t end up at the bottom of the bag!...
