Child abuse is real and continues to plague our society. Locally, there were two recent cases of severe child neglect, resulting in the death of two young children. In 2015, there were 22,015 substantiated child neglect cases statewide as reported by the Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS). In Vigo and Clay counties, there were 945 substantiated child neglect cases. These numbers are shockingly high and have been rising each year...
