  • * Changes coming to juvenile probation (Local News ~ 04/03/17)
    The county’s juvenile probation is about to take a lesson from the Community Corrections program in Clay County and use electronic monitoring for more juveniles instead of sending them to a Vigo County facility. Juvenile Probation Officer Cathy Judd said that adult offenders must pay the cost of being on home electronic monitoring detention but many of the parents of juvenile offenders are “indigent” and cannot afford the cost of electronic home monitoring for their children.
