Yard sale benefits youth food program

When the yard sale to benefit the Clay County Youth Food Program opened at the Clay County 4-H Fairgrounds on Saturday, people were already waiting in line, said Carrie Cunningham, one of the organizers of the event. Items in the yard sale were sold on a donation-basis only and no bid was too low.

Route 40 Fest: Great weather, turnout in year 2 of festival

Hundreds visited Saturday’s 2017 Route 40 Fest in downtown Brazil sponsored by the Brazil Main Street organization. “If you started counting people, you might be surprised how many are here,” said Mayor Brian Wyndham. He said the numbers could be deceptive because U.S. 40 through Brazil is wider than people might think.
