Community Parks Association receives $1,000 grant for playground equipment

The Wabash Valley Community Foundation recently awarded a 25th Anniversary Grant in the amount of $1,000 to Clay Community Parks Association. The grant will be used to purchase a piece of playground equipment for Craig Park in Brazil. Community Foundation awards more than $29,000 in grants

Friday night in the Community Theatre of Clay County, the Wabash Valley Community Foundation Clay County distributed more than $29,000 to three non-profit organizations including Chances and Services for Youth, the Poland Community Lions Club, and YMCAs of the Wabash Valley. Larry Tempel, board president, served as master of ceremonies. “This is our annual grant distribution meeting where we give out earnings of the funds that are in the Clay County portion of the Community Foundation,” Tempel said. “We give to organizations in the community that apply for grants.”
