Preparing to protect your pets

Assistant managers Amanda Abney and Cherokee Jones were at work early in the morning preparing the various vaccines that would be needed for the Clay County Humane Society Shot Clinic at Forest Park Saturday afternoon. The employees prepared 200 rabies vaccines, 200 5-way shots for dogs and 100 vaccinations for cats. Abney said the event is a great fundraiser for the facility, but it is also an important community outreach program that helps people take care of the health of their pets...
