PPG’s powder coating division in Brazil recently scored high in a safety audit. With a score of 1,730, the company was authorized to donate $1,730 to a local cause. Walter H. Lash, 58, of Brazil, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018 in The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care. He was born in Terre Haute on September 24, 1960, the son of Donald R. Lash and Dorothy Woods Lash. Walter was a 1978 graduate of Staunton High School and was a security guard for the former Coke and Carbon Plant in Terre Haute.
