PPG’s powder coating division in Brazil recently scored high in a safety audit. With a score of 1,730, the company was authorized to donate $1,730 to a local cause. Walter H. Lash, 58, of Brazil, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018 in The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care. He was born in Terre Haute on September 24, 1960, the son of Donald R. Lash and Dorothy Woods Lash. Walter was a 1978 graduate of Staunton High School and was a security guard for the former Coke and Carbon Plant in Terre Haute. He loved to read and enjoyed books written by Stephen King. Walter loved to watch the Cooking Channel and spending time with his grandchildren...

Rex Dean Tucker, 86, went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 18, 2018. He was born on February 8, 1932 in Brazil to the late Orville E and Mary L. (DeBruler) Tucker. Rex attended Brazil High School with the Class of 1951 until he enlisted in the United States Navy in 1951. He did three tours in Korea on the USS Hopewell DD681 where he received several accommodations and was honorably discharged in 1954...
