State fire marshal investigating two local fires in the past week

The Indiana Department of Homeland Security’s State Fire Marshal Office is investigating the cause of two local structure fires that have occurred in Clay County in the past few days. On Saturday, Nov. 10, around 11:30 p.m., when officials arrived on the scene flames were visible at a fully engulfed structure fire at a residence located on the south side of West State Road 340 in an area near 2400 block.
