Summer rains affect Eel River once again

The recent heavy and persistent rainfall has caused Eel River’s waters to turn muddy as it flows through Clay County and under the bridge on State Road 59 just north of Clay City. According to the Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service at the National Weather Service in Indianapolis, the Eel River in Bowling Green crested above the flood stage several times in recent days due to the heavy rainfalls. ...
